The pickleball community was fragmented. Players struggled to find courts, clubs couldn't manage reservations efficiently, and there was no centralized way for the community to connect and grow.
PicklePlay needed a unified platform that could serve three distinct user groups: individual players looking for courts and partners, clubs managing facilities and memberships, and facilities handling reservations and events.
The solution had to work seamlessly across mobile and web, handle real-time reservations, and scale to support a rapidly growing user base as pickleball exploded in popularity.
Conducted thorough market and user research to identify the core features pickleball fans and clubs needed. Collaborated closely with the PicklePlay team to define scope, prioritize functionalities, and craft a seamless user experience.
Created wireframes and prototypes for the mobile apps (iOS & Android) and web platforms. Focused on an intuitive UI to accommodate users of all ages and tech backgrounds.
Built two native mobile apps (iOS, Android) with user profiles, court search, and reservation capabilities. Developed a Club Management System and Court Reservation System with real-time availability and booking.
Performed multiple testing rounds to ensure system stability, user-friendliness, and data security. Gathered feedback from a pilot group of clubs and players, refining features before launch.
